HIP & PELVIS WORKSHOP
July 23-24, 2011

“If you understand the force of intelligence in the body, its mechanical operation and structure, you can work on any part of the body you can reach with your hands”. Lauren Berry
The Berry Method® Hip and Pelvis Workshop is designed for practitioners with a general knowledge of the anatomy of the hip and pelvis and basic palpation skills who are interested in learning effective techniques for addressing hip and pelvis joint dysfunction.
The purpose of this course is to increase the skill and effectiveness of a therapist working with clients who have hip and pelvis joint pain or dysfunction.
The goals of this course include:
-
To gain an understanding of the hip and pelvis anatomy by building a clay model.
-
To visually and manually assess the joint.
-
To recognize misalignment of the muscles, tendons and ligaments of the hip joint.
-
To reduce pain and improve hip and pelvis function through the application of effective corrective therapy.
The Berry Method® Hip and Pelvis Workshop can assist therapists to not only make painful hip and pelvis injuries feel better, but more importantly, provide corrective realignment of muscles, tendons and ligaments thus restoring proper mechanical function. As massage therapists are called upon more and more to assist in the therapeutic healing process, gaining these skills can assist therapists to be proficient in effective injury treatment and increased job opportunities.
