HAND & WRIST WORKSHOP

“If you understand the force of intelligence in the body, its mechanical operation and structure, you can work on any part of the body you can reach with your hands”. Lauren Berry
The Berry Method® Hand and Wrist Workshop is designed for practitioners with a general knowledge of the anatomy of the hand and wrist and basic palpation skills who are interested in learning effective techniques for addressing hand and wrist joint dysfunction.
The purpose of this course is to increase the skill and effectiveness of a therapist working with clients who have hand and wrist joint pain or dysfunction.
The goals of this course include:
-
To gain an understanding of the hand and wrist by building a clay model.
-
To visually and manually assess the joints.
-
To recognize misalignment of the muscles, tendons and ligaments of the hand and wrist joints.
-
To reduce pain and improve hand and wrist function through the application of effective corrective therapy.
The Berry Method® Hand and Wrist Workshop can assist therapists to not only make painful hand and wrist injuries feel better, but more importantly, provide corrective realignment of muscles, tendons and ligaments thus restoring proper mechanical function. As massage therapists are called upon more and more to assist in the therapeutic healing process, gaining these skills can assist therapists to be proficient in effective injury treatment and increased job opportunities.
